Could Therapy Be Helpful for Me?

Could Therapy be Helpful to Me?

People engage in therapy for a variety of reasons. Research has shown that psychotherapy is very effective for treating symptoms of anxiety, depression, PTSD, behavioral concerns, and more. Sometimes we feel stuck, overwhelmed, angry, ashamed, depressed, misunderstood in our relationships, and/or have experienced situations that have negatively impacted us. Many parents often seek therapy for their children when struggles arise at school or at home.

As a trained therapist, I can provide a safe and neutral environment to address concerns and provide support. People often find that therapy helps them develop insights, an awareness of their mind and body, and practice new skills. Therapists use a variety of techniques to assist clients, thus, it is important to find a therapist whose skills and knowledge align with your goals for therapy.

Therapy involves building a collaborative relationship with a therapist through which transformation and understanding can occur. Finding a therapist who you can trust and who makes you feel seen and heard is paramount to the success of your therapeutic experience.
